Assignment Criteria:

1. Select a crime you want to reduce: You are permitted to expand on a crime you discussed in one of your previous class papers, BUT you must thoroughly add to your comments/analysis. If you simply cut and paste information from a previous paper, you will lose significant points and you may receive a zero for the assignment.
2. Based on what you learned in the entire course, present a proposal for reducing this crime. Meaning, propose the most effective crime prevention strategy.
3. Thoroughly research the crime and your strategy and then describe the pros and cons of your proposed strategy.
4. YOUR PROPOSAL AND ASSESSMENT MUST BE SUPPORTED BY SCHOLARLY AND GOVERNMENT RESEARCH—NO CREDIT FOR UNSUPPORTED OPINIONS

Requirements:

1. 4-5 pages, APA format (12-point Times New Roman text, 1” margins, double-spaced, etc.)
2. Page limit does not include title page, abstract or reference page
3. Refer to the Sample Paper _OWL_.pdf for specific requirements of each of these pages.
4. You MUST use subheadings to divide the main sections of your paper
5. An abstract IS required
6. Minimum of 10 scholarly or government sources (your text can count as ONE source)
7. The paper must be posted, as an attachment, in the appropriate assignment drop box in assessments, no later than the prescribed deadline.
