Question Description

Extra Credit Paper is Due Monday, March 15th, by 5:00 pmThe paper (7 points) must be based on a case of multiple murder, defined in the course. The paper must address these topics with specified headings: ( I)the circumstances of the episode (2 pts.), (II) the personal background of the perpetrator(s) (2 pts.), and (III) a case analysis based on material learned in the course and grounded in themes presented in the course (3 pts.). The topic of intervention may be, but need not be, part of section (III). The paper must be composed for citation and references in the style of the American Psychological Association (APA Manual 6th Edition). Points will be deducted for non APA style for citations and references. Consult resource: http://www.wisc.edu/writing/Handbook/DocAPA.htmlCase information may be obtained from news accounts, non-fiction books, or Internet sources, as well as academic ones. Internet sources are fine for case information, but they are poor substitutes for academic/scientific references for your analysis of the case, and your paper will be graded accordingly. Your analysis of the case (III) must be grounded in scientific/academic sources of knowledge, for both theory and research. In that regard, you should incorporate ample material from published scholarly books and/orscientific journals. What is ample? It is unlikely that you will receive a high score with only 4 or 5 academic references. Please note that merely inserting a reference is not the same as making use of it. A suitable paper is about 7- 8 pages in length. It must be structured by the three sections above. Length is not an indicator of paper quality. Strive for quality of composition. Papers must be on Canvas in WORD format. They will be reviewed on Canvas by the Turnitin.com system. Late papers will not be accepted.
