Question Description

Technology may be the future of criminal justice – at least an increased use of it. We have computers for dispatching our first responders. We have data systems with sufficient data stored to truly boggle the mind. We continue to gather data with such systems as license plate readers and we find video cameras everywhere. Perhaps Artificial Intelligence IS the future of the criminal justice system…or, does it go too far?

For this final case study, research and discuss the purposes for the collection of data, the value of such collections, and where we may see ourselves in the future. Is this the way by which we can move from being Reactive to Proactive when it comes to matters of apprehending and prosecuting offenders?
