Black History ProjectThe purpose of this project is to familiarize you with two of the important people in African American history. You will be responsible for researching your assigned individuals and writing a two page report. You will also be responsible for creating a visual component to your project. You must have a picture of your person and a famous quote that represents your person. You can do this on construction paper or small poster boards.For this project you must include the following:

1. Person’s origin (birthplace, formative years) – 10 pts

2. Summary of their life. (Family, occupation, chronology, etc) – 20 pts

3. Any great inventions or achievements – 30 pts ( How did they impact society should be explained to the class)

4. When and how they died – 10 pts

5. Poster – 30 ptsTotal = 100 ptsThis should be YOUR work. You should summarize information from your sources and create your own work. Plagiarism will result in a failing grade.
