1. Compare and contrast the life of the Minoan Civilization (ca. 2000-1400 B.C.E) and the Mycenaean Civilization (ca. 1600-1200 B.CE.).

6. After reading the excerpt from The Iliad in your reading answer the questions: How would you describe the personality of Achilles? How do Achilles and Gilgamesh compare as Epic heroes?

7. Choose one of the Greek Gods listed in the module. Explain why you chose this particular God. Do additional research on the Internet to find out more information on them. Upload an image of what they could have possibly looked like.

8. After reading the excerpt from Sophocles’ Antigone in your reading answer the questions: Who is the tragic figure in this place: Antigone or Creon? How does the play illustrate “heroic idealism” and the conflict between personal and communal obligations?
